Credit Myth #3 of 10 (Series 1)

October 9, 2017

If you believe this Myth than you are sure to fail!

Q:There are negative listings, such as bankruptcies and foreclosures, that are
impossible to remove from the credit report.

A:There is no type of negative listing that hasn’t been removed from a credit report thousands of times. Negative items, such as bankruptcy or unpaid debts in some cases are certainly more difficult to remove from the credit report, but this has more to do with the operational systems of the credit bureaus than with the severity of the bad credit item and also their willingness to comply.

For example, judgments and tax liens are severely negative listings, yet sometimes are easier to remove depending on the date of last activity. The credit bureaus are very clever. They are for profit companies, so they are innovated enough to invent ways to profit any way they can. This includes consumer disputes!

The procedures they have to follow are not followed, therefore they are in violation with federal laws and as a result they must remove the negative data from the credit profiles of a consumer. When we get deletions for our clients, it really does call for a celebration
and a party! We process your disputes and you sit back and sip your favorite cocktail. It's that easy!
